in which, i make soup

I’m not sure if this is gonna be vegetable soup or chicken soup.

4 carrots 6 blue potatos

1 dozen cremini mushrooms  Butter

6-8 scallions Whole milk

1 white onion 3 cups water

I chopped everything up, put it all in a big pot and let it boil, then turned down the heat and let it simmer for awhile.  After an hour, I added some salt and pepper and a little bit of cooking sherry.  I put some thin slices of garlic colby in, thinking it would melt and become creamy and delicious, but it just sort of curdled.  Oh well.  It all ended up melting in eventually.  I pan fried some chicken fingers with cayenne pepper and cinnamon and then put them in the pot as well.  Everything cooked for awhile longer, I put some more milk in, tasted it a bit later and it was wayyyy hot. Too much cayenne evidently.  oh well.  I thickened it with some flour and I’m gonna scoop it out and cool it in smaller portions.  Go me.
